I was wondering if placing a newly bought platy, who is pregnant, in a 10 gallon by herself would be fine until she gave birth? Right now I have her in a 37 gallon tank with swordtails (1 male, 2 females), a rainbow shark, an albino shark, 4 assorted tetras, and 2 plecos. I want to keep at least some of the fry. I have 2 10 gallons that have nothing in them right now. Planned on using one for the fry of our swordtails. Any suggestions?!?!?

I would think that she would be fine until she is almost ready to give birth, then move her over. Do you have a picture?

Ok thanks! I have a pic of her, not too good. But as far as we know we think she may be a Galaxy Platy. What do you think? And do you think she is that far yet? Glam.jpg

To hard to see, but going by your first pic, my guess is about late 2 week - early 3 week stage...
