Female Vt Or Male Plakat

Right I've got a dilema. My first female fighter when I got her she was small, lightly coloured and showed stress bars. As she got older and was introduced to 5 more females she got a bit darker and more colourful.

When I conditioned the male and females, she showed stress and breeding bars (the breeding bars being very prodominate)

But now.. she's a lot bigger and bulkier than all the rest of the females. She's a dark dark purple almost black fish with brightly coloured fins and her ventral? fins are looking rather long and white tipped and her tail is more of a fan spread, than a rounded VT shape.

My gf has loved this fish and wanted to breed her, so she's currently under going conditoning... but here's the problem:

There's no breeding bars,
She is constantly flaring and only showing stress bars afterwards,
The male (already proven himself to be a good breeder) isn't making a nest, but flaring and attacking the glass as if the female was actually male.

I'll try and get pics up. But I want to find out soon. As if she is a he, then he's not going back into the sorority tank.

the white tips to the ventrals is something males and females get, but on the males its more obvious and they are longer and sort of trail a bit.

look at the anal fin.. does it gently and relatively evenly slope into a point at the end or is it relatively short all the way down and the have a very suden angle down to a sharp point? the later would describe a male pk. look at its beard when it flares, is it as big as a males or is it a typical females?

1st pic is the male... try get a pic(preferably flaring) and it will help more

when "it" flares do you see a black beard thing like you do with the males?

i had this dilemma but being "it" has shown breeding bar id guess a girl.....
cant tell without pic..... but you may have a female PK....
my female VT sounds the same as your discription....

Yes it does have the beard, but all my females have a beard (sounds a bit dodgy that... bloody trannies!!) But I shall get a pic tonight if possible.

A pic is definatly needed for accuracy!
