Got a V2 120 nano skimmer its been set up for 4 days now and so far so good.....however come home from work todat and knowtised that in the collar in the collection cup where the bubbles are made they are more like a foam now and every so often will overflow into the collection cup.....is this a good or a bad thing?? Collection cup was emptied first thing this morning just to let you know.

heres a picture just so you can see whats happening

That's exactly what's supposed to happen :good: Air-water interface still looks a little low, so you're skimming really really dry, but its definitely starting to break in :D

o rite glad its a good sign then......so the foam going everywhere wont effect anything then?? and ive adjusted the skim level again so its now half way up the collar.

so you mean the foam is overflowing out of the cup back into the tank?

well no, that sort of defeats the whole purpose.

how often are you emptying the cup?

how long has the tank been running?

noooo the foam is overflowing the collar inside the collection.....seems to have settled down now though but nothing is going back into the tank for sure kinda misleading when i said about the foam going everywhere i just ment in the collection cup.

i rekon if i left it to go from empty ide have to empty the collection cup after 3 to 4 days i rekon.

And the tanks been running for around 8 months now i think and ive knowtised a big difference in how the corals look since ive been skimming ide reccomend one of these skimmers to anyone with a nano tank. They do not take up mush space at all.
