Is My Guppy Pregnant?

Hi there
Please can you tell me if you think this guppy is pregnant or not. I'm a bit confused as I thought pregnant guppies had black spots that are the fry's eyes ?? There is definitely no gravid spot but its tummy seems to be getter bigger.

your female is not that fat she'll be at least 2-3 week's.

Your female is a blond (gold body) and these tend to have more of a Goldy dark spot than being black.

So you think she is in fact pregnant then?? Great!! 2-3 weeks on?? How long before any sign of fry do you think?
Thanks for the info about that colour type of guppy, I didn't know that..

Your guppy is a yellow guppy, its about 2 weeks pregnant, these guppies tend to not get very big when pregnant and dont have loads of fry compared to other guppies, they also dont grow as big..

Dont always go by the gravid spot, especially on guppies and endlers cos even virgin ones can have the dark gravid spot, pregnant or not.. also it can be the other way round, they can be very pregnant and show no sign of a darkening gravid spot..

Yours however is not going to drop yet for sure, keep us updated on her belly growth over the next couple of weeks

Many thanks for all the help.. v interesting. I will certainly keep up posts with pregnancy progress! V pleased she will be having fry!!
I'm going to get more fish for the tank. Is it 1 male to 3 female guppies? I would like some swordtails too. Is it the same ratio for them so that the females dont get stressed with males chasing them?? Had a tank of livebearers but only down to 3guppies+1platy due to mysterious deaths. All water stats were ok (even had them all checked again at lfs). Well planted tank with places to hide so dont know what to put the recent deaths down to Anyway fingers crossed, the remaining 4 seem in ok health so any advice on what I should add (would like livebearers tank) and what ratio m/f on them??
My lfs dont have endlers. Also I got some mollies the other and all 3 died... then read on here about they need salt in water. That prob explains their deaths then what should I get and how many ? not a huge tank but its v sparse at the mo. LFS accept fry back so I'd like some baby action in there. Any ideas?? thanks again!! x
