Got my V2 120 nano skimmer through the post today and set it up.

Just got a few questions to ask as ime not to sharp with skimmers yet.

1: If ime right after a few day the micro bubbles will stop blowing into that tank yes???

2: i read somewhere about "wet" and "dry" skimming whats the difference?? and how is it achieved is it something to do with the adjustment on the water level??

3: inside the collection cup there is a neck where bubbles are made and when i close the water level ajdustment valve there are more bubbles made what does this all meen??

4: how is it that the waste gets to where it is in the collection cup is it through codensation??

5: And finally i read somewhere about putting a piece of airline tubing over the air intake which is located on the corner under the collection cup?? what will this achieve by doing it??

And heres a little picture of it just so u can see it

The lower the water level is in the collection cup, the drier the skimmate. The higher the level, the wetter the skimmate. In that pic, looks like you'll be exceptionally dry. The bubbles need to be higher than that, so tweak that gray knob to get it up a little bit more :)

ok ive now got it so the bubbles come half way up the collar inside the collection cup is that better???

Dont suppose you know anything about putting a piece of airline in the air intake do you and what it does??? ive kinda found the answers to all the other questions from reading lots on the net.

Adding airline to the intake could increase bubble-making capacity. More air sucked into the venturi = more foam in the skimmer = more skimmate
