Some Pics

Just for the unbelievers or just plain silly people out there--------

That's a bit harsh... From the original pictures they look nothing like the picture from the side view. They are nice barbs, but to call other "unbelievers" because you took a shot from a bad angel is to call yourself a bad photographer.

Yes but you are the one saying my fish arent what they are-dont inform someone they have something they dont without having good evidence.(come to think of it i didnt even ask for someone to identify them)
i'd side PRW1988 here. your words only seek to offend. people make mistakes every now and then and its also agreeable that your first picture was not that clear. no you didnt ask for identification but you did mention that they were pentazona barbs and if someone thought differently they'd be sure to voice out.

Well i'm not as experienced as prw or yourself but even i wouldnt confuse them with tiger barbs and i wouldnt tell someone theyre fish that they arent without being sure. What if i had been a newbie?
The trouble with forums(not just fish) is that everyone is an expert, and everyone knows better than anyone else. Anyone reading this might even be put off putting pictures on here unless they are perfect for being castigated for taking a picture with a cheap camera. Certainly made me think twice.

i can imagine this guy's pretty annoyed because people were saying he is completely mistaken and what he says about what if he was a newbie is right in my opinion. those fish, in my eyes, don't look like tiger barbs because of the stripe formations.

your words only seek to offend.

hummm, here we go, whats more offensive;

you took a shot from a bad angel is to call yourself a bad photographer.

or

?

tbh, it's abit of a silly argument anyway but what he is sayin is right, what if this guy was a newbie and wanted his fish identifying?
he isn't a bad photographer just because the fish moved. maybe he liked the picture, after all, he was just showing us it.

and just to make things clear, tiger barbs have 3 stripes, only 2 infront of the dorsal fin (which tends to have abit of black on it). they are also a bigger built fish.
pentazona barbs have 5 stripes, 3 infront of the dorsal fin and are quite a thin fish.

Thanks pinkdolphin for that-nice to know someone who can validate their fish with knowledge of it. Good stuff :good:

There is no way that is a Tiger Barb. This is a Tiger Barb
