Hey guys this is a pic of my largest Tiger Barb. I am almost positive this fish is a female, it has no red on its nose or fins like my two males. There are two fish this size and a third female that is relativley smaller. So, my question is is this fish carrying eggs?

do you see the diffrence?

Yeah, that fish is carrying eggs for sure. My female is fat like that too, but she'll only breed if she is a tank of her own and a single male with her.

Huh i have two females the same size. I have an empty 5 gallon should I fill it up with Tank water and move the two females in there? Then I would do like two water changes in about a week. And when do you think she would deliver?

Well heres a site where you can find all the information you need on how to breed tiger barbs. If you a male and a female in the tank, they'll likely breed in the next morning. Also make sure you have some plants of marbles for the gravel or else they'll eat all of their own eggs.

K kool thanks for the help i apreciate it :hyper:

congrats if she is pregnant :) keep us posted on it :)

Im 90% sure she is preggo along with another female but i dont know how to get here to lay her eggs. My cousin has my 5gallon and i dont have an extra or heater. how long can she hold her eggs?

I don't know about how long she can hold them, but she will eventually reabsorb them if nothing happens. then you'll have to wait a few weeks before she makes more eggs.

If you are going to use another tank, make sure you have a filter.
