Platies Spawning?

Could I see some of ur spawning videos? I have a male and female platy and I'm not sure if they're spawning or rubbing each other. :blink: :unsure:

Also the female has gotten a little fatter. I'm not sure if she's pregnat or is eating too much food. :blush: . If she is pregnat then why is she still trying to mate with my male?

Also i have a hard time looking for the 1st signs of a gravid spot could I aslo see a pic? (my female has no gravid spot yet)

this is my first time breeding fish.
 
The male will show boat for her attention and dart at her with all his fins fanned this is the best desciption of them attempting to mate i think off. i thought you may of meant mate but thought i best make sure you were not exspecting eggs
 
I think stiffler has pretty much explained good enough, when you see the male trying to get the females attention, belive me you will understand exactly what stiffler is saying.



Ive tried to show you by this pic, but you cant exactly see what the male is doing,...

What he does is, he swims beside the female, and points his gonopodium forwards and penetrates the female on the angle like shown in pic (il try to find a better pic)

yeah, that makes seanse.

But I don't think thats what my platys r doing. The female comes up to the male and begins vibrate by his gonopodium. Shouldn't the male be doing that to the female?:huh:
 
maybe she is horny, but how we explained it is usually what happens m8. thats all i can really say sorry :(
