Here is a short video of my setup, better quality than the pic, need to get a tripod. My Fish Tank

Found this amazing site shortly after getting the tank as a present from my girlfriend, as I could not set it up straight away I had time to do lots of research. I read all the articles on fishless cycling, water testing etc and followed all the advice in the beginners area and here I am, a 4 month old tank which seems to be stable and running nicely. I had a few deaths early on due to white spot but that has been resolved and its been plain sailing ever since.

The tank layout was pretty much our first attempt, the coconut being the only live plant in there, whatever it is. We decided to let the tank grow with us (being new to fish keeping and all) and not to try too hard straight off. I am pleased with it. :)

If anyone has any comments I would love to hear them. If anyone could give me a rough idea as to how many more, if any, fish I could add to this tank that would be helpful, also what types would be most suitable. The tiger barbs seem to be happily occupied in their little group as I have never seen any of them so much as look twice at any of the other fish as I understand they are known to harass others.

Thanks.

2 Common Plec's might be to big for the tank, you may have to move one or both of them.

nice tank :good:

the common plecs will get too large and i'm not sure but i think the clown loaches also.

but nice tank :good:

Thanks for the positive comments ppl. I realised soon after getting the plec's that they were going to outgrow the tank at some point. As for the loaches, they dont seem to be growing at an alarming rate, if they do get a lot bigger then I would obviously re home them or get a bigger tank.

Thanks again for the comments.

I think he's got the message they are gonna get big lol

Dont worry though clowns will be fine in the for well over a year, and the plecs a year minimum before you need to upgrade so plenty of time.

Clowns are so cool

nice setup dude.. no need to tell you twice about those plecos as everyone has told you enough haha

Thanks for the encouragement people!

Any comments on stock level? Can I add more fish or is that about it for a comfortably stocked tank?

If there is any room, any suggestions. Or equally any DO NOT's.
