Siamese Fighterfish?

help me eek i have been told this could be a case of a tail biting!
he has only bee in the tank a few days his tails gone from : -

Someone else that is housed in the tank with your betta doesn't like him. You always hear about this stuff when the betta is housed with any other fish. I would suggest having a separate tank for him. And treat him with a antibiotic and hopefully it will help his fin out.

no other fish in that tank
i think he has done it himself!

Wow, what does he do chase his tail..lol the dummy. Maybe its fin rot. try an antibiotic. I do have to comment he is a bueatiful betta very pretty. Maybe put one of those cone things on his head like they do to dogs so they don't lick or chew on themselves so he can't bite at himself..lol just kidding!!!

No need for an antibiotic. Some melafix and a clean tank should do the trick. Make sure his fins aren't getting caught in the filter though, if of course your tank is filtered....

got a fry protecter thing on it know i think he hugged the filter :look:

i have spoke to someone else who has thousands of bettas and she has told me how to sort him done a water change and treating him with melafix
yes the tank is filtered! and cleaned regularly my fiance has had fish for over 5 years so he knows what to do
