Drop Checker Question

is it normal to have what i can only describe as a white cotton like film,hangin out of the bottom of my drop checker,i have attached a pic so as you can see what i am describing

How long has the tank been set up? When I first set my planted tank up the bottom of my drop checker used to get a slimy substance grow in it. It stopped happening after a few weeks though.

I would take it out, give it a clean under hot water and put it back in, most likely it is nothing to worry about though.

i redid my tank a month ago,new substrate,presurised co2,and all new plants,the only thing thats remained from the original set up was my filter,which i had running in my other tank,so as not to lose any beneficial bacteria,but as you say it aint much of a problem then i dont think its much to worry about
