well i decided to empty my rio 180 and completely clean and start all over again,1st pic is of rio empty and filter removed,with advice off here i manged to cut the filter off,using a very sharp chef's knife

ok 3 bags of eco complete,was enough to completely cover the bottom of the rio

using my hma filter to fill the tank

my filter was used in my other tank as not to lose any good bacteria,and i also soaked the sponges in a bucket of the other tanks water just to make sure they where full of uesefull bacteria.

tanks now full.and heater and filter all working,going to give it few days to settle,then order my plants,and getting a jbl pressurised system next weekend,so hopefully with the time and effort,and expense this time,i should hopefully have an algae free tank.not sure if ill be putting my bog wood back in tho as that seemed to have a lot of algae on it,and no matter how much i cleaned it it never stayed algea free for long.any way ill keep you all posted of any new pics,when i get my plants and co2
