Hi guys, it's been a while since I posted anything but I've been learning lots and my tank is coming together. I originally stocked it with two "Ancistrus". Now that was the only description I got from my LFS and now thay've grown a little I'm hoping that someone can help me with an ID. They're both about 2 inches long now. They're pretty camera shy and out of dozens of photos these are the best I've captured. Cheers in advance for any replies.

Thanks for the replies guys. Is it safe to assume that the lack of bristles indicates that they're both female?

i thought females still had the bristles but only around the front and not down the middle?

check the body of the fish for small hairs. these are odontodes only the males get them. not sure if this rule applies with bn's but you could give it ago lol nice fish btw :good:
