Pics of the tank I bought from Samuk. It is a 5fter which has made my larger fish very happy! There is a pic of it empty and full.

Decor is not finished yet but it is a work in progress.

And a close up of Nipper, my Gibbiceps who is about 5" and very impressed with his new home

Good start, is it just me or have you gone overkill with heating and thermometers tho?

nice :good:

when i first started reading the post i thought i said 5 ltr, then i saw the photo and thought that looks bigger than that Doh! LOL

EDIT: Spelling

Thanks, re: Heaters/Thermometers - there are 2 150w heaters for safety and a more even heat distribution. All the thermometers were there to ensure the whole tank got to the right temp before we added fish.

Occupants at the moment are:

1x 5" Albino Tiger Oscar (rehomed for a friend)
2x Juvenile Firemouth Cichlids
1x 5" Kissing Gourami
3x 2" Kissing Gourami
2x 4" Opaline Gourami
4x 3.5" Gold Barbs
1x 5" Gibbiceps
1x 5" (adult) L163
and newly added, a 14" Reed(also called Rope) Fish

Not sure if the Oscar is staying - he is attacking the Reed Fish but we are going to see how they go. The Gold Barbs are moving into a 3ft tank once it is ready. Thinking of putting my trio of Juvenile Bichir in there later this weekend.

We've just added more plants and some HUGE bogwood chunks are soaking so I'll post more pics when they go in.

looking good!

how come you had the stand that way round tho?

glad your fish are happy and u didnt have any trouble getting the tank in! the lads where talking about a tight corner somewhere as they left lol.

We are going to get an external filter for it soon so we are going to use the hollow bits of the stand as storage for it and any other bits n pieces. Going to put doors or something on the front too.

We had half the street out noseying when they got it back and one neighbour very kindly helped unload! Tight corner was not too bad, especially with 3 people doing the lifting.
