Yesterday I noticed some strange white patches on one of my goldfishes head and body and i don't know what it is. It seems to be swimming at eatting problerly and seems perfectly normal other than these white patches. I have posted some photos of it see what people think it might be.

Looks like a fungus possibly. Might be worth re-posting this in the emrgencies section to get treatment advice, but consider Methylene Blue.

It might also be a pigmentation change. Goldfish do change colour sometimes. Does it look like its the skin thats changed colour, or is it something actually on the skin?

It looks more as if the skin has changed colour as if the scales has fallen off.

The fish is in a bad way it has columnaris and mouth fungus which is columnaris as well.
Need to medicate with myxazin and pimafix.
Need to look at size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Well, to me it looks like its lost scales than anything too dramatic.

Are there any ornaments it can get itself caught on? If a fish tries to swim into something thats too small for it, it can dislodge scales and rub

The ornaments I have in my tank are a plastic driver, plastic plant and also a plastic log which the fish can swim through.

I have now removed all ornaments from my tank and given the fish a salt bath

depends how strong really. A .2% solution shouldnt cause it much harm
