Whats his actual body colour? if its blue (any shade of) then he is a MG for sure but that said you can get green MGs so why not chocolate - Hmmm not dure if thats any help at all
A chocolate is when the body is a brownish color and the fins are yellow. Mustard gas is a terribly overused term that usually isn't used properly. Here is a really good article on the meaning of "mustard gas" : http/www.bettysplendens.com/articles/pag...?articleid=1256
Thanks for the great info. My picture of the bettas does not show the true colors. When I take the betta to the "natural" light the body is dark but there is alot of irredescent colors of blue/green in the body. The fins are rimmed with blue and I would say the fins are more yellow than peach color.
Either way, he is very different and I love the color.
flipin hell they are fantastic. i love the first and second one. i have 1 red CT male with blue scales all over the top of his body hes georgeus i wish i could post pics. do you breed betta

If so, no I don't. I did give it a try years ago but it is just to much work for me. I love bettas though and always have them. Right now I am at 4 of them, use to have 6 then I was down to 2 and now hubby says, looks like we are back to the "betta thing again hey". He likes them too, I don't mind having the four of them.
I also have a freshwater tank that houses my Blue cobal Discus and my Gold Angelfish. I also keep a 10 gal Nano Saltwater tank too. They are great fun and have had the freshwater for over 20 years (not the fish though) and the saltwater is coming up on 4 yrs now.
