Betta Pics

Hi everyone. I'm so excited, I got my first half moon today. I haven't name him yet, so feel free to make a suggestion. He hasn't really started flaring, as he's settling in, but here's the best pic I could get so far.

Now I see what people mean about Bettas changing colour. When he was in the shop, he had dark colours, now he's changed to much lighter. Is that a sign of stress? He's only been in the tank a few mins, so he's probably a bit anxious.

Thats not a half moon. Looks more like veil tail to me

I was thinking the same thing, it doesn't look like a HM to me either but not sure i would say VT maybe a cross of the two see if you can get some pics of him showing off. He's a lovely colour
 
AJgrey she is really lovely. Such deep colours.

My new halfmoon (I'm pretty sure he is one) has started to flare. Ranjith and Devon Charm is this pic convincing that he's a halfmoon? Could he even be a butterfly halfmoon? The glare on the glass ruined it a bit, but you can see his finage pretty well.

Just bumping up this post because I'm really excited about my new Betta. Could anyone confirm that he's a halfmoon, maybe even a Butterfly halfmoon? He's in the above post. I don't want to breed Bettas or anything, I'm just excited to have such a lovely one. Well I think he is anyway :blush: .

He looks more like a HM in that pic, He's colours have come out lovely he's a very pretty boy

Super Delta isnt with me anymore as he decided that the Cory's were a pain and started to kill them overnight, woke up to 2 dead Cory Trilineatus.

Jenny Bugs you you've got some brilliant pics there. I love the face close ups! Do you have a professional camera? If my fish are moving at all, my pics come out blurry, and it's impossible to hold the camera still enough to get a close up clearly like that. Great job!

Dark Entity, pity about the Delta, he is really lovely. Nice PK too.

Thank you :D I have a Fuji FinePix S9600 mega zoom obby. It's the step below taking the plunge with an SLR camera and called a Bridge camera aparently. I love it and have got some superb pics of my fish with it :D My pc is full of them :lol:

wow so many nice fish in here, i am so amazed by all the different females you guys have, they all look the same around here :rolleyes:

At the moment i have each boy in separate 6 gall tanks. The red VT boy is in a 9 gall on his own. 1 VT girl in her own 6 gall (she's a bully)
I have a 40 gall divided tank ( 30gall middle section with 6 CT girls in, A CT girl in 5 gall end section, she's another bully and a VT girl in the other 5 gall section. Don't want to put her in with the CT girls)
