Snow....

I bought a new pleco last Sunday from Peter Barretts in Stockton. They had it listed as a Snowflake Pleco. It was Â£20. Its black with large white dots all over it and has a gray underside. I was told, and hopefully correctly told, that It wont get bigger than 6 inches.

Does anyone know if this is roughly the right price for this fish?
And.... Anyone have any information about snowflake pleco's? I've tried and better tried but can not get any results on google.

Hmmmmm 'Snowflake' is a new one to me.

Snowking will be a problem, they are Pterygoplichthys so reach monster proportions.

Snowball is Hypancistrus or perhaps a Baryancistrus the first will stay under 6 the second won't

Try and get a photo.

i was going to buy that plec but didnt have the money on me to buy it think its expensive in there tbh ill try find a pic for you

they occasionally carry snowflake plecos at my lfs and yes, they are expensive! i've always wanted one, but they charge 45.00 canadian for it (roughly 20 sterling)

This is all I could find of google images. It was called Pleco-Vampire.

I dont know if this is exact but its as near as damn it.

LDA33... Did a web search an this looks like it. However, 30cm is twice as big as I was told!

The do grow quite slowly though so it shouldn't be a problem for a good few years
