Yup your right.. tottaly crap pics..ROFL made my eyes go funny trying to focus on it :(
Good about the salt though, at least you can move forward from here.
Is the hyker crab like, how many legs, colour etc.. come on.. at least give us a clue..lol

 Our digi camera has had it, need a new one!

Its not a crab, its growing on some rock - it opens up into that circular shaped thing thats in the middle of the picture, if anything goes near it, it immediately retracts. Looks like some sort of filter feeder thing....

Righty... spoke to TAP, the manufacturers and highlighted the PH problem and the tests conducted.

They are going to test some samples of the shelf and get back to me, fingers crossed there is a resolution....

If you look closely you will see them eveywhere. I have really tiny pink one through to the larger stripy clear ones and some orange ones with fluffy heads :) As the weeks go one you will see more and more. Mines been up for 6 weeks now and just upgraded to a larger tank and put more live rock in. Just got my first 4 legged starfish :) Though hes dissapeared again. I spend hours sat here, but then again it does help its on my computer desk..lol so at least I can pretend I'm working :)

Cool! How are you getting on with a nano reef?

I'm looking at doing a 12% water change each night for the next 7days to get this new water going through the system, does this sound about right (not too much shock for fishies)?

Yup.. slowly is best as thats quite a large PH rise.
My tank is going great and really enjoying it. Only hitches so far have been with the fish. Soft corals are going great and my Zoos are throwing new heads all the time. A few have doubled in size in just a few weeks :) I get my last 5kg of rock tomorrow so I can then finish the scaping. My backround has just arrived and I cant decide between blue and black..LOL I seriously need to get a life :) ;)

I'm glad you got to the bottom of the salt problem but where's all the algae? I thought from your planted tank, you were going to teach us the definition of algae :p but you're not living up to your reputation so far! Nah, jokes aside, it's looking good! :good:

Cheers mate, interested in how yours goes!

Nothing much to update apart from the water problem is sorted.... The tank is sitting at 8.2PH and the mushroom leather is coming out again. Bit of a lesson learnt here, from now on I will always test parameters of any salty that goes into the tank and will also run fulll tests periodically on the fresh batches - do NOT think that all salt batches are equal!!

Things seem happy, will test tank for all parameters today.... :good:
