Help With Bn

This sand like attachment has slowly appeared only just got pics.Any help guys? Other fish no symptoms, bn is eating ok i think. No other visible signs and all tank stats are fine.

I could be wrong but it just looks as though he has been burrowing and covered himself in some of the sand. I had the same thing happen with one of my Plecos, worried like crazy about it and then realised what he had done.
 
Fraid not. This is definitely attached :-( Started on the fin edge about 2 weeks ago and seemed to not get discernably worse until tonight when the bits on face can be seen... I posted in pleco forum (updated tonight) at the time and even now it seems almost crystal like, and as you say very much like sand.
 
You may want to consider looking up Columnaris. It can often form around the gills and head area. My pleco had it and it looks like a fungus except it's not fluffy.

Excellent news, despite my pessism it must have been sand because after the night it has gone :hyper: Just out of interest i once suspected a fish in my QT tank had columnaris did you have any luck treating it? if so shat with? :good:
