he looks like a boy to me but I am no expert. Lovely fishy and lovely parents as well. :good:

Defo female heres why
* she has the body shape of female
* she is in w/ females and never flares (what im told)
* she even looks a bit eggy
* she does'nt have as bright colors as male
just because she doesnt have a egg spot doesn't mean she is a male maybe she is still developing it
and here is a link that you can research on >RIGHT HERE<

not eggy, just well fed, normaly quite slim, il try get a pic pre-feeding.
jus coz it dont flare dont mean anything, its been in this tank with the girls for a long time, and is prty much at the bottom of the pecking order, especialy considering that 5 of the 6 girls are considerabley bigger than him and take no s**t. i also used to have a vt male that was in with two girls (before i knew better) and he seldom flared at them.

getting alot of conflicting reports so i gess il have to play it by ear. so far im thinking its a male, but we shall see.

*quick update*

its a male!! :good:

a few weeks back i bought a new girl but she did not get on with the other girls at all, she kept getting beat up so i moved her into my lifespace tank aside a few young platys. ive since moved the platys to anew owner and this girl was living in the tank on her own.
yesterday i noticed my big cambodian pk girl was acting strange and i realised she has dropsy, so i imidiately moved her into the lifespace tank and moved the little girl into the main tank. i went of for a shower as i was heading out for a mates stag doo. came back 10 mins later and looked in to see if the little "girl" was ok with the bigger girls, and to my uter amazement this little girly and unfolded into a beautiful, tiny pk male!! and the fish in question of this thread was displaying just as hard as the other. so obviously i had to seperate them, so i poped the little on in a breeding trap till i dug out more suitable accomadation and for 10 minutes the two boys were flaring furiously along the side of the breeding trap. they are now out of sight from one another. im very pleased to have another pk male in my group, but i feel i have too many males now. i have 5 boys and 5 girls and a bunch of 4 week old fry. mite need to find some homes for some of my boys soon! runing out of space!
lol, so to cap, after all the douts, ITS A MALE!!!! :good:

to clear any douts, a pic before when he was in with the girls, and a pic of him in his own new tank flaring at his new neighbour, and a pic of his flaring buddyspitting image of his dad in my avitar
