We have about 7 baby platies in our 10gal tank! These are my first babies as we have only had the platies (4 female 2 male) for 2 weeks (they are our 'bedside fish')
I figured one of the females (3 are sort of silvery with red and black tails and 3 are bright orange with black panels on each side?) had given birth as she was thinner but couldn't see any babies, then I saw 2 darting around in a well covered corner and now tonight there are 7 silvery fry all up and swimming round the edges of the tank.
Not sure how old they are, think 3 days max but can anyone hazard a guess? They are about 4-5mm inc their tails. I've attached a pic if it works!
