Request Help, seriously not my tank, this is for a relation. her angel needs help he is a wonderful 6inch marble fish. she is one the phone as i type. picture is from a mobile phone.

Tank size: 220 lts
pH: 6.8 - 7.2
ammonia: can't test
nitrite:0 - 1
nitrate:50 - 100
kH:3
gH:6 - 10
tank temp:26/78

Fish Symptoms
showing picture, long stringy white strand hanging off top fin. small white fluff on bottom fin, behavior is normal.

Volume and Frequency of water changes:
25% - 50% last saturday and changes about once a month

Chemical Additives or Media in your tank: fin rot in

Tank inhabitants:
another angel 4inch, pegasus x2 6inches, plec 2inches, red tail black shark 2inches, silver sharks x2 5inch, silver dollers x2 3inches, ghost fish 3 inches, fighter 1 1/2 inch, apple snail x3.

Recent additions to your tank
pegasus x2

Exposure to chemicals: none

hi thanks for reply...

nitrate test is only capable of 0-1, 1-5 on up to max but it is not as dark as the 1 on the test so it is below it. what is it he has and where does she get those chemicals not seen in fish shop, yes she knows about the sharks...
 
Tell her to do a water change, take a sample of her tank water to the lfs to test and tell them to write the readings down for her.
Be able to get them meds at the lfs.
