I got this guy a couple of days ago and he got very busy last night building a bubble nest. I even see substantial bubbles under the pennywort leaves. Kinda sad, all those beautiful bubbles and no girlfriend. He loves to lay in the V of the driftwood or on the leaves of the pennywort. I think that's what it's called.

i really like the tank setup he must be one happy boy :)

Thanks. He's a CT and my second. I couldn't believe he made a bubble nest so soon after I bought him but he hasn't flared at me yet. Dempsey died a couple of weeks ago because I didn't know I was overfeeding the greedy little thing. I have learned lots on this forum and I thank all of you. I just made one of those soda bottle buffers for the filter flow and it calmed the tank right down. They are just like little puppies, exploring everything, especially something new like the buffer. He swam right up to it, checking it out. Even with the Whisper 10 set on the lowest flow it looked like Niagra Falls in there and I really wanted the filter. That buffer is a wonderful idea!

Awe he's really nice looking. I really love your setup too! What size tank do you have him in? Cause that's such a lovely setup!

Thank you, Fishkies. Glad you like the setup. It's a 5-gallon hex. Wal-Mart special.

Aww, that's so sweet! And I love the name Riley. I can't blame him for building a bubble nest, that tank must seem like a playground after being a Walmart betta!
