Have A Question On Albino Bristle Nose Pleco

got bristle albino bristlenose pleco. will he be fine in my malawi tank he has enough algea to eat and i have wafers that i feed him hes shy but at night active and i got him like 2months ago while my other 2 died a few days later (i think they were sick, tried to nurse them back to health) 1 lived so im gonna get more should i?

PS: red arrow in oicture shows his hide out.
oh ya also it 55 gallon tank with 10 african cichlids with 2 60 gallong filters that rune smoothly

Yes this belongs in another forum.

I know that folks in the African board do recommend Plecs and Loaches for their reef tanks. I myself have put 5 Clowns loaches in my Tanganyikan Reef tank with the fronts and synos. They are doing ok. I probably would not do it again though.

Also if your Malawi tank is high ph and you did not acclimate the BN well enough they could have had difficulties from that. There are many awesome Africans and other ways to control algae, but that is my personal feelings. I have heard that the plecs will do fine, but I would look for the advice of a major player in the correct forum for Plecs, such as CFC.
