Hi i'm new to the forums, just upgraded from a 30L to 125L tank. It's been cycling for 2 weeks, although amazingly all the chemical levels seem to be fine already so just added 8 neons. I've used the fish from my old tank to cycle with (and quite a bit of the water too) so over all I have 2 mollies, 4 danios, 1 kuhli loach, 1 cory and my 8 neons.

I'm hoping the plants will do well, and I am going to add a peice of bogwood when I work out how to prepare it for putting in the tank. So what do you think? (hope I actually have put the photo on!)

could do with some taller plants at the back i reckon. other than that... nice :good:
what dya have in there?
thats that plant at the front nearer to the middle? is there a bulb or something underneath it?
have you ever thought about sand?

Nice tank. But yeah got to get some sort of background to look nicer.

It's a very nice tank, however you need to get more cory cats as they enjoy being in shoals... atleast 3 more, make sure they're of the same species as, IME, they don't seem to enjoy hanging out with other types of cory cats... ie. peppered corys+ peppered cory=happy, peppered cory+albino cory= mad

The plant in front is a bulb, I did keep the tag with it's name on but I lost it. It is supposed to be an aquarium plant too, but I suppose time will tell wether it survives or not!

I did consider a background but I didn't find any I liked, I would really like a background with not too much detail. Not sure about sand although I admit it would be better for my kuhli but he can hide beneath the planted rock and bogwood (and the annoyingly beneath the filter unit!)

I know what you mean about the plant height issue and I am still working on that, the planted bogwood in the left corner is there to give height. What would you suggest in the tall back plants option?

I would like some more cory's too, and I am planning on it but i'm being careful at the mo not to add too many new fish in one go as it is a fairly new set up. I didn't know that other types of cory didn't like each other! I'm glad I didn't go out and get some, I would've got different ones. The only problem is I'm not sure which type i've got! i'll put a pic at the bottom of him
