After 5 days of concerted effort, Connor finally allowed Pinky to move into the palace (shhhh, they don't know it's a flowerpot)...

pink convicts can be breed with normal ones

i tried to breed convicts once when iwas younger..

didnt work out.. i was too young

hmm..... if my betta breeding doesnt work out in my 10 gallon maybe ill buy a pair... does a 10 gallon sound big enough for a pair of convicts?

10 gallons sounds way way way way to small. I'd go for atleast a 20 long or a 30.

Thanks everyone. I'm really pleased with them. I'm pretty new to cichlids and I really like these guys. They've got character to spare. :smb:


bettabanana - Yes, pink cons and striped cons will breed. However, living dead was correct about tank size. A 20 long is considered the bare minimum; mine are in a 30 gallon tank.

Glad I got something right and I don't even keep cichlids. What do the Pink & Stripped Convicts look like?
