Baby Bettas At Walmart

i just got back from the one place i never thought i would get any fish let alone a betta, but today when i went in they had 6-7 "female" bettas. i looked them over and they didnt seem to be in too horible of condition. the only problem is that they are 3/4 of an inch in size, with the smallest one being 1/2 an inch...... i picked out 4 of them. 3 of those 4 are most definetly ct,and i am assuming the one blue and white one i picked is a male. what shocked me the most about my visit was that the woman taking care of the fish department actually knew about fish, and general fish care. she even asked me afew questions about breeding them.

Gee - I was going to ask - where in Southern Ontario (Canada) are you? Because I was at my local Walmart a couple of times this week and they have several "pretty" and in good condition bettas - including a few females. And for once, they looked like their water was fresh and relatively clean (by their standards - not mine.)

I actually bought a female on Tuesday... I'll post separately her picture!

they are adorable i must say. are you familiar with rochester?? im about 15-20 minuts west of there in a lil place called brockport.

You're not too far at all! I live in Penn Yan, and go to FLCC in Canandaigua.

well there are definetly 3 girls of the 4. they are growing pretty quick, and so cute one is wite bodied with red fins(definite ct), one is perdominatly white based with afew bits of blue and has blue fins (also definite ct), the third one is so far a steel blue, and the last one i dont know if its going to be blue, green, or another dark color. (the last 2 are probably regular vt)
i know the pictures are pretty bad but this is the only one i was able to get for now. so far iv only been able to get pix of 2 of them. unfortunetly my phone and computer arent getting along at the moment so i can only share one of them.....
