brings back memories when i was in the army i had a shoal of six fully grown in 2003 but had to get rid of them as i was told i was going to sunny iraq for 10 month sold 5 ft tank and fish for 50 quid as i was only givin 5 days notice that iwas going out there

Nice fish, we have some in stock.
How big's that tank?
:shout: You don't feed them feeder fish do you? I can see a goldfish in there.

Radar... lets not start another thread about people feeding LIVE fish to their agressive animals... who cares if it's a feeder goldfish? I'm certain the the OP knows the risks invloved and has considered what may happen to his fish in a worse case scenario... Also, Piranahs are pretty good when it comes to not getting sick as their stomach acid kills any bacteria... that's why they're the best clean up fish in the amazon... Also because they work as a team to take down their prey...

Ok, i apologise for the comment and hope no inconvenience is caused. I was not aware of any troublesome threads recently regarding the matter.

hey guys thanks for the reply's
yes they are really nice fish altho kinda lazy at times...
and yes i know about the troubles that it can cause from feeding them goldfish
i usually have beef heart and scallops and shrimp..

and no offence was taken from radar he has a point tho....
i am a new commer to the whole fish scene so if anyone one has any input feel free to add to this thred.

its a 45 gal tank the fish are 6+ inches long and really high (as in hight) lol

i am considering getting some drift wood for them as well any inputs are welcome
i will be upgrading to a 130Gal tank in a week or 2

Cheers Joshua

good to hear you'll be upgradeing withing 2 weeks :good: Just so you know, if you plan on getting more Piranhas (I recommend you do because they enjoy shoals of 5+) be sure to get them at most 1/2" smaller or 1/2" larger than your are... if any smaller or larger there'll be mad agression issues and more than likely deaths...
