I've not kept tigrinus yet, the high price and high juvinile mortality rate plus their sensative nature has always put me off, i'm not rich enough to lose a £300 fish.

From what i understand they are extreemly sensative to water quality when young and even relatively low levels of nitrate in the aquarium is detrimental to them, ammonia and nitrite of course is unthinkable. Husbandry should be similar to that of stingrays with large regular water changes and pleanty of live foods until they can be weened onto frozen

T1karmen has had a few tigs in his time so is probably the best to give advise

Cheers CFC

The water quality is very good, it is an established system 8*3*3 with stable readings nitrates 0-2 ppm
ammonia 0
nitrite 0
PH 7.2

ive had rays and silver arows in the same tank quite heavily stocked with no water quality issues. :S

Yeah but we dont like to talk about that, bloody scientists messing with perfectly good fish names :<

success ive seen 2 of them take live shrimp today, colours still dull but at least they have started taking some form of food.

Fingers crossed for the other 2

3 of them are eating well today :D But the last was is hiding away at the back of the tank and refuses to take anything :( see how it goes

After the last brake in when some teeleaves where after my quad and my sons moto X bikes we made some changes in security and we now like to refer to the fish house as FORT NOX :D

Sadly 1 down 3 to go.

the 3 that started eating over a week ago was great, good colours and very lively. But the runt of the 4 only improved about 2 days ago and took frozen chopped fish before it hit the botom. All seemed fine. I was to say the least pretty chuffed.
Came home for work to find the small 1 dead and the other 3 seem to have lost all of there colour. Fingers crossed again they carry on eating and perk up in the next few days
