I've been really enjoying my new Pentax DSLR, and have gotten a number of shots that I'm very proud of. I have really only been to the zoo as of yet but I have some (in my oppinion) great shots. I'll post a few here for members to comment on, if you have any advice I'd appreciate it very much.
Yes! The editing I did with the tiger shot was simply to increase color saturation a little (~20%). The tiger is not really that orange in real life, more of a faded orange look to him.
O.K. here's a new one that I got of an Amur Leopard. They say there are only 40 or so of these left in the wild!
for some reason, when I resize the image for this board it makes it look all pixelated and grainy. I notice it most on the Leopard and the Lemur posted earlier. It's a shame because the resolution of these pics is absolutely amazing (10.2 m.p.'s)
Very nice photos. I noticed one thing though. On a few of the shots you aimed a bit high. Aim a bit lower and that way there is less "sky" and more what you ment to shoot.
