tank looks great, i want to turn my 20gal into planted, crabs will destroy every plant in there though lol
could you post a few pics of your rams, and do you know how old they are?, ive recently bought a pair but 1 of them has not coloured up, but the other 1 has amazing colours, could my other ram be younger than my other 1?

Thanks for all of the great comments !!! I appreciate it.

Guppy_man...posting some pics of my Rams for you. I have had the first pair for about six weeks and the new female only about 2 weeks. When I got my first pair, they colored up after about a day, courted right away, and spawned after about 3 days. (Eggs eaten.) When I got my second female, my male and new female paired up and bullied my first female. Her coloring has been pretty dark and not colorful since the new female came along. The new pair have spawned twice already. (Eggs eaten.) I just put more plants in and got an additional male yesterday. The new female has turned her aggression to the new male and the males aren't bothered by each other. Hope it stays that way. My older female is starting to color up more finally...think she has the hots for the new male.

I am not really sure how old they are....but my new pair are both larger than my first pair. And the males are a good bit larger than the females. How long have the pair been in the tank? What other fish do you have in the tank? Mine color up very much when they are happy or courting, and they love hanging out in the plants.

Thanks RadaR! I love my Rams. They are like dogs.....every time I walk up to the tank, they swim up to see what I'm doing. If I open the lid, they go crazy thinking they are getting some food!

When I started the hobby I had a few. But wasnt aware of how delicate they were to water hardness and I could never keep them alive for more than a few months(water is as hard as you can get around here). But I work in an LFS now where I can get Ro water! :D So soon I should be able to witness from my own Rams what you do with your Rams :)

thanks for posting the pics, your rams are lovely, my other ram has started to get bits of colour on its head now, so i think she/he is quite young, im sure it will colour with age

i was thinkingog buying another 20gal tank dedicated to them, because they are such a nice fish, ill just have to wait and see :hey:

No problem, guppy man! Hope I was of some help. I'm still pretty new to this, but I'm learning. :good: Good luck with your Rams. I'm sure you'll enjoy them. You too, RadaR, when you get some again.

PS Thanks for the compliments cane76 and kpintheshed. I'm still moving things around a bit because now I have 4 Rams and have to make 2 distinct territories. I'll post more pics as it progresses.
