nice looking snails, any more pictures (maybe a full tank shot)
are you heating and filtering?
i was thinking about having a small snail tank myself at work to look at - simple and easy looked after
any other tips?

thanks for your interest

i will get a full tank shot tonight , its a 23 gallon long tank i keep it bare bottom so its easy to clean,i have a Eheim Aquaball 2212 Internal Aquarium filter and its heated to 79c.
they eat lots of vegies cucumber,corgett, tomatoes, apple, grapes, green beans ,peas etc, fish food ,algea flakes, snail pellets, bloodworms.

lots of tank cleans are essential for breeding and good food, i have about 14 clutches waiting to hatch at the moment, so i will have loads :hyper:

i sell on ebay and lfs, and anyone on here thats interested,

wow how many are likely to be there! i would love a snail in my tank :hyper: but i'm scared of gettin overun by them

hi Luke

apple snail need male and female to reproduce

if you have just one you wont get eggs

the egg clutches are layed above the water line and can easily be removed, so there is no chance of having too many

each clutch has about 50 snails in them not all make it , i have some good one some bad.

do you have anyother species apart from apple snails,colors, size?
im wanting a few for my tanks, but apple snails get too large for my liking. (preferably not a-sexual)
what do you charge?p&p

the rare spixi apple snails are a smaller version they only grow to around one inch i have some of these, they lay there eggs in the water on plants ,glass, anywhere really, these are somtimes hard to spot so you cant remove the eggs all the time, the good thing about having these in a comunity tank is they are really tiny when they hatch so the fish eat most of them and keep the population down.

i also have malaysian trumpet snails these live in my sand and do a very good job of cleaning up and keeping the sand moving so i dont get any pockets of gas forming. you only need one of these they dont need male female to repreduce. so in no time if there is lots of left over food you can quickly become over run.

costs are depending on how many snails wanted.

That's amazing, I would love to have a tank full of snails! I have one malaysian trumpet snail but I can't seem to get her to reproduce!
 
hmmm. How long would it take an army of clown loaches to clean up that tank :shifty:
