Hi there,
I dont understand! Everytime i go in to LFS the tanks are quiet exspensive for ones that are suitable for bettas. Goldfish bowls, theyre like 10-19 quid.
How much do you pay for your tanks and what size are they? I wish i was in USA,they seem sooooooo cheap out there

The plastic boxes are about £1.50 each.
3g plastic tanks, £5.
1g acrylic cube, £5.
1.5g bowls, £5
My Aquaone Mirage 35 (about 2g) was £8.

Aqua One 320s - £39.99 (i have 2)
Fish R Fun 5g Hex - £39.99 (just the one, it's not so great)
Mirabello 7.5g - £70something - but it was present and i didn't pay

the aqua ones i needed to get filters and heaters for
the fish r fun hex just needed a heater, came with a filter
the mirabello came with heater and filter

Where do you buy these from? Thanks for the replies anyways :good:

I spend as little as possible on the tanks i get and love car boots and wilkinson, there prices are very good.
Last week saw 4 10gallon acrylic bowfront for 2quid each, but had nowhere to put them.

I don't think there's to much wrong with the prices of tanks and bowls in the UK to be honest, especially at the moment what with it being the new year and all.
I shop at Maidenhead Aquatics in Wimborne, Dorset, and Southern Aquatics in Poole & Christchurch, both of which have some very good deals right now...

Wilkinsons at £4.99 are good. I also get glass tanks from my local tip usually £2. you can then get the plastic condensation covers for the top. probably more than the tank :hyper: :hyper:

Plastic boxes (storage containers) and 3g tanks from Wilkinsons- although any shop should sell storage containers. Bowls etc. from LFS, althouhg Pets At Home does the 1.5g plastic bowls for £5 (or £10 if you want gravel, 'book' and fake plant).

My glass ones were with filters and heaters and gravel etc about £60-£80 each my plastic one was £5 plus £14 for a heater and a few silk plants

:hyper: I love your avatar looks as if the betta is threatening pussy, who is not looking :shout: (Connor)

THnx for the reply. I ended up paying 9.95 for a 2.5 gal today and icl 2 females and gravel it came to 18 quid,so not too bad. WHen i get working at my LFS(hopefully 2moz! :hyper: ) ill get discount so yay! I got 2 lovely females today. White bodies and maroon tails  Ill get pics up later. Im gonna get another one 2moz,but it wont be the smae colouring, just a normal veiltail bluey purple one
THanks for liking my avatar liz!

I've got a 6.6gal Mirabello for my betta, with built-in filter and heater (which is way too noisy IMO so we have to keep it in the living room). It was about £50 but I wish I'd got something that rumbled less, so Drew could live in my bedroom with all the rest...

all in all mine cost £24 to set up excluding the betta.
