Hi All

This was advertised as a Green Spot Ancistrus, I know its def not the L200 but other than that have no idea, they said on the the card that it would only be 5cm (Not sure if correct as I am pretty sure its bigger than that now) maybe 5".

Sorry for bad pics but does anyone have any ideas what it could be and what size it may grow to.

Have been looking on Plant catfish so far it could be L036, L109, L130, L346

Ok I think I have it. L264, Sultan Pleco. If it is the Sultan Plec how much would these be?

Many Thanks
Dave

Yep, I'd say it's the L264. I think generally around £20 for youngsters I've seen to £30(ish) for adult.

Excellent so £13.99 not a bad price then?

I have been reading various info on these, some say veg etc to feed some say meaty foods to feed. Anyone know what they prefer to eat?
Also are these better in small groups?

Thanks
Dave

I'd say it's a very good price indeed for such a beauty

Sorry, have never kept them, so can't advise. I think a few other members have though - smithrc?

very nice looking fish :)

we had one that was a bout 2" max (that cost a lot more than that too).

Unfortunatly Our co2 system went mad one day and killed her :(

Before that fated incident she seemed to ate more meaty foods - and loved prawns ;)

Thanks, how can you sex them? They have another 2 left in the lfs.

Also how do you prepared the prawns? If I brought them frozen do you just defrost them and throw them in??

Congrats, really cute little Sultan you have there.

To defrost the prawn or shrimp, I just use a small plastic dish, with a bit of tank water. Plop the shrimp in, let it defrost for a few minutes and drop it into the tank.

Got any more pics of the cutie??

:good:

I'd buy all 3 :)

then grow them up... There are articals on breeding them about too :)

I'd love to get all 3 but I do not think I could have 3, I know I have got quite a few filters on the tank but 2 more L264's might be pushing it eventually. I do keep water changes very frequent though.

Are you still selling the Slate caves still? What sizes are they?

Do not mean to sound dumb, I assume this size would allow 6" plecs to turn. Most of my plecs will not grow to more than 6" I think
