hi i have got some bog wood and daily the leaves are getting browner and browner.I have done my water changes they are fine.I have also done water tests and they show no dangers. What do i do should i cut off the leaves, and if so will its grow back again?
thanls

What leaves? On plants or on the bogwood or what?

I'd remove the bogwood and soak it until the tanins stop leeching out in substantial amounts for the sake of the fish that'll have to deal with pH fluctuations. I don't know what 'leaves' you are talking about though :p

If the bogwood has leaves, then it is still fresh. This is dangerous, since the sap from the wood can leach into the tank and may make the fish ill. Wood placed in tanks HAS to be dead and dried, preferrably for several years. The bark has also need to be removed, so it will not rot in the tank.

wow still a living bog wood where did you get that from... the leaves are underwater obviouslly they are gonna turn yellow and die

it could be an aquatic plant thats been planted into the bogwood... my LFS has several available for purchase

i go it from my LFS its just like a piece of wood with a plant growing iff it.They cost around £15

Then its not the Bogwood thats got leaves, its the plant attached to the wood. The plant will more than likely be either Java Fern or Anubis.

Does(or did) the plant look like this. These are attached with cotton/elastic etc until they grip to the wood.
If the wood had leaves literally growing out of it you have not been sold the sort of bogwood for an aquarium.
