Baby Guppies!

I just recently bought four guppies. Two male, two female. I knew my females were pregnant by their black spots, but I didn't know when they were due. So, of course I wasn't ready for it when I came down in the morning and saw a baby guppy in the tank. I don't know how many of them she dropped, but we managed to get a breeder net and put the babies in there. The other mom seems to have started having her babies, but I can't tell which of the fish is having babies, and I only have two breeder tanks. How can I tell, and what's the best way to care for the babies???

dont worry whos having them, if you could add some floating plants you could save more fry as the fry like to hide in these then you can scoop them into the breeder nets, feed them real fine crushed up flake 3-4 times a day in very small amounts

I've read that it's good to give them boiled egg yoke. Is it? And how often do I feed the mothers during birth.

ive not heard of the egg thing,
just feed mum as normal, sometimes the mums go off food for a while around the birth so dont worry if they do.

I posted a picture of my tank. It's brand new, about a week old. I put some breeder nets in. There are four babies in one, and the female which I think is giving birth in the other. Is that okay?

seems good to me,
dont keep her in to long though they can get stressed in the breeding nets, if shes not had any for 24hrs let her out for a few days,
looks like you could fit another female in,but not yet, as its a new tank watch the ammonia levels, ps what filter have you got in there?

i don't know what kindof filter it is, we had the tank in the basement with the filter and the light and everything, so i took it out and got it cleaned up.

The egg yoke is something that used to be used a long time ago. It was for egg layers. You put the cooked egg yoke in a handkercheif and squezzed the handkercheif under water. This produced very fine particles of egg yoke for the very small fry.
For babby guppies rub the flake food between your fingers to make it very fine ( as previously mentioned) or you can buy finely ground food at the Tropical fish store. Don WD8PTB
