I am cycling a 29 gallon tank right now and am thinking about adding live plants when I put my fish in. I have sand in the tank. There's a few plants I saw on ebay and wanted to get:
Java Moss
Brazilian sword
Amazon Sword
ECHINO TENELLUS
Are these fairly low maintenance plants? Will they be ok with a sandy bottom? I don't have a final stocking list yet, but I know for sure there will be panda cories, pleco, and some livebearers in the tank.

I would recommend Anubias nana it does not require powerful lighting and can be attached to bogwood and rocks making it easier to clean the substrate.
They are quite expensive but are very hardy with thick green leaves :good:

Here is a photo of one of mine.

I'm pretty sure that those are okay, but I've never heard of the last one, Echino Tenellus...
I have java moss in my 29g tank which has 20w of light. Java moss grow like crazy! I put mine on rocks, you can also put it on driftwood.
I also have some amazon swords, and they are healthy, but seem to grow extremely slowly. I think the same would go for Brazilian sword.

What kind of lighting/fertilization/CO2 are you going to use?

but I've never heard of the last one, Echino Tenellus...

Think he means Echinodorus Tennellus pygmy chain sword.

The plant list seems ok, but I would probably avoid the Echinodorus Tennellus it can be very tricky in lower light tanks. Something like dwarf or micro sagittaria might work better.

There is a pinned list of easier plant if you get stuck dmarie04 :)

Yep, that's it. The ebay auction just said Echino Tenellus, I think they just abbreviated it. I was looking at dwarf sagittaria, so just might use that instead. That same ebay seller also has some Anubias nana, so I think I'll add that to my list.
Thanks for all the answers. I want to keep things very simple. My main focus is the fish and don't want to spend a ton of time on the plants...just thought they'd look nice :) I want to make one of those coconut caves and I thought the java moss would look good on that.
I'm not going to use any CO2 or special lights...will have to look around at fertilizer next time I go to LPS.

Amazon Swords need a nutrient-rich substrate to do well ( and moderate lighting )

Ive got amazon swords to grow in noting but gravel, not even regular fert dosing, although I will add that a decent fert substrate certainly heps :)
