My Stand / Tank

thats my stand , I built it from scratch..i dunno wat wood is it , Its for making shelves tho :blush: it was cheap , like 3 euros for 36 inches x 24 inches ea. piece , bought like 5 pices of them.

It looks nice! You want to make good and sure that it can handle the kind of weight that an aquarium can carry though. The last thing you want is for the whole thing to collapse one day!

ya its sturdy , my dad put his weight on it for 10 mins and it didnt break , he weighs like 240 pounds, his blood is regu

my drift wood , with some moss on top and a anubia plant...I want to take it out but my plec likes it so ill leave it there

I don't know what size tank you have but a 20 gallon could easily weigh 200lbs, and 200 lbs sitting on there day in and day out can cause the stand to bow and bend, which reduces the overall strength. So I would say that 240lbs on the stand for 10 minutes isn't really an adequate test, just so you're aware of all that. Hopefully it's strong enough though!
 
Looks very nice, both the stand and the tank, great work on both. :good: I second the caution about weight though, I've seen some flimsy shelving material and some really tough stuff, hopefully you got the latter. Haven't had a stand give out on me yet, but cleaning up after a broken tank is not a fun way to spend an afternoon.
