I Have A Yellow Mickey Mouse Platy That Is Very FAT! But She Doesnt Seem To Have A Gravid Spot. Is She Pregnant? Or Just Fat?

Nope I Dont Really Have A Picture Of My Own Platie.
But I Hav Searched A Picture In Google And My Platie Looks Like The Picture I Have Attached To This Post.



She Looks EXACTLY Like That... So Do U Know If Shes Pregnant Or Those Platies Are Just Fat?

Hard to tell from the angle, but see how the yellow color on thte belly is stretched thin so it's whiter. That happened to my orange Platies when they get pregnant.

You got a very good chance she's pregnant.

As long as she's well feed shell be happy to produce fry.

Not all platies have gravid spot's. Some even have none, so u can go by thin way's in platies and swords.

Oh.. Well This Morning I Got 6 Platie Fry, YAY!!!!!
But I Really Don't Know Who Gave Birth To Them. Because last night i put 2 pregnant Platies in the breeding tank.
The Yellow One Was Bigger Though.. But She Still Looks Really Big right now..
The frys are yellow but im really not sure if its from the Yellow platie or the Orange platie.

COOL! well congrats! From what i remember from breeding platys donkeys of years ago, they remain that colour thoughout, so my money is on the yellow platy. Expect a few more fry soon Keep us all posted

Yeh I separated the orange platie from the breeding tank. And their were more fry. So I guess it was from the yellow platie.


She Now Has 15More frys, equals to 21 Altogether
I Think Shes Having More Frys. She's quiet kind to her babies, she doesnt seem to have eaten any. Unlike my guppies, 5 survived out of problem 40+...

Im Only 15 Years Old and i now have 26 babies To Take Care Of, hehehehe! And theirs more coming, more pregnant fishes in the tank also.

PShe Had 4 More Frys, totalling to 25frys as her first batch.
