One of my Jordanella floridae(American Flag Fish) is covered in this stuff.

Its a greyish white colour.
It looks like lime scale.
Its underneath the fishes scales.

Its not fluffy.

Ive treated her with Flubenol 15 as she had white stringy poop.

PH=7.6-8.0
Ammonia=0
Nitrite=0
Nitrate=5-10

Is the fish flicking and rubbing against objects, dealing with parasite to bacterial.
Has the fish lost weight and does it look like a dusting or velvet.
Columnaris can look bleached out or fluffy.

With slime and velvet med by interpet you can use pimafix as well with parasite meds.
 
She eats fine and has not lost weight.

Not flicking or rubbing.

She's just got this greyish white stuff protruding from under the scales.

The scales are actualy being lifted by this stuff.

Each day she seems to have more on her.

She is in a quarinteen tank with no substrate by herself. I have been doing daily water changes of 1/3 to try and keep the water as clean as possible.

Im not convinced its Columnaris. This stuff is apearing randomley all over her body. Her gills are fine and she's not gasping for air.
 
No i'm not convinced it columnaris either sounds like a parasite under the scales.
Right I think I would start of with a wide parasite med which treat alot of parasites, and pimafix as well.
 
Abit weird that the fish is not flicking and rubbing, can you see any parasites, get a magifying glass and take a closer look.
 
What is the fish colour normally, does it look like golden varnish on him.
