hi,
recently I have noticed that one of my corydoras trilineatus seems to be wounded on her underbelly just between the pectoral fins. It's pretty weird because it doesnt really look like a wound as such as theres no redness or blood, to be honest no signs of a cut, all i can see is a bit of skin just flaking away. It doesnt look infected in any way, perfectly clean. I'm just a bit concerned thats all, any ideas on what i should do or what it is?

are you able to take a photo for us? What substrate do you have in the tank?

sorry, its really impossible to take pics as you can only see it when shes swimming, i may try tomorrow though. The substrate is playsand so no probs there.

hi, thanks paul-discus, do you think i should? A second opinion on that would be great, i dont want to start adding things to the tank if i dont have to if you know what im getting at, no offence.

i managed to get a decent picture, obviously the circled area is the flake of skin that peeling off, just click on the bit that tells you to to view full picture size

I would go in with the bacterial med like has been suggested, corys are more prone to bacterial infections.
