New to the forum... just set up my first aquarium and it is just about to finish cycling. Haven't had an aquarium around since I was 7! Thought I would upload a couple of pics of it. I have a point and shoot digital without many overrides and it is TOUGH to get a good shot!!! I'm hoping to play with it and get some better pics later. Pics are of the full tank and then some detail shots, including a "cave structure" I built for future bottom dwellers to hide in. :) Since this is my first, any recommendations on more/less plants, hiding spots, etc would be welcome. Current plants are plastic... wasn't ready to tackle both live plants and fish. Tank is going to be a community tank. Will add some danios, tetras (probably lemon and serpae), some cories and maybe one of the smaller plecos... been looking at a clown at LFS.

Is there a way to attach more than one pic in a post? Anyway, here is detail shot number one.

Nice Tank!
I like the mix of dense and open spaces. I think in time you will be lured in by real plants though, they are a great addition to any tank. A background on the tank actually gives it (a feeling of) more depth if its against a wall like that, and the fish get some psychological 'security' from it too.
Nice work :)

wow, it's beautiful. i actually thought the plants were real. i know a lot of people like densely planted aquariums but i love that you have a lot of open space. and i really like your rock creation :D

 it  it.

The detail work is awesome. I have real plants in mine & have thought about going back to fake because my water baby's love the salad bar I currently have for them LOL
