Too many to list - there are loads that get to 4-5"... and a few that get to 2-3".

If its short and high - you will want smaller ones - If its longer and flatter then some of the ones upto 6" should be ok

Pitt bull is what I would have suggested. I lucked out and found two locally for $5 each. Unfortunately they died of an infection about a month after I got them . I'm not sure how much they'd cost over there, though, or how easily available to you they'd be. Sometimes, in order to save money, its best to just remember all your options, so when you see something come up locally for a good price you can snatch it up. If your're looking for one specific thing thats hard to find you'll probably be either waiting forever, or spending a lot of money to have it mailed to you.

you could get a clown plec, bristlenose plec or a zebra plec. Zebra plec are the smallest but cost loads

I'd recommend a clown or a bristlenose Should be able to get either for under a fiver. Unlike zebras which will set you back anywhere between £100-200. Each.

i think the smallest plec is an otto, reverting to your original question...

A smile costs nothing :)
A pitbull pleco only gets to about 2" and a Queen Arabesque or Candy striped pleco only get to about 4". They cost a little more than a bristlenose but well worth the money!

I got these Parotocinclus species never seen them befor anf dont think i will again.
As u can see they look mature and from the 10p coin, you can see how small they are.
I've seen a shop in london with some more Parotocinclus but a duller colour than these i got.

As shown in my profile, the clown plec would be fine.
And depending on the stocking, perhaps a queen arabesque. They grown only to 4 Inches. Quite a colorful fish, but you'd have to probably work on the other stocking to allow it in.
