Hello, i have noticed one of my guppies has a very bloated belly, not like it is overfed, just a swollen lump in the belly, it is a male.

any idea's what the problem may be?

Stats would be good in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
Do you mean a lump that sticks out.
What do you feed the fish.

Feed them, flake, and sometimes brine shrimp as a treat.

nitrite 0
nitrate 7
ph 7.7
amonia 0

it is a large swolen belly, starting just below the gills and finishing by his anal fin.
i can only describe it like he can't digest a garden pea, (not been fed garden peas but that's what it would look like)

More frozen foods like daphnia which is very good for digesting a fish food.
Livebearers need veg in there diet so try some shelled peas.
Can the fish maintain it balance in the water, and check there no scales sticking out.
I would try an epson salt bath on the fish one teaspoon to a gal.
What other fish do you have in the tank as I would add some salt fi there no scaless fish in there.

So if i'm correct in thinking do you mean the tummy bloated with a peas size lump as well.

the guppy can maintain balance.
will try some shelled peas.
no scales that i can see stickling out.
i have mollies, boesmani rainbows, 6 banded barbs, black phantoms, a twig catfish, guppies.

the problem is only the bloatedness. i will try to get a picture.

will try in 5 mins to have a pic.

best pic i could get.

thank you for your help up to now by the way.

starting to lose balance, will put into my fry tank and treat for swim bladder, would you advise this?

Yes, but once it advanced hard to cure.
Give her the peas aswell.
Just add a teaspoon of salt to the fry tank, as fry can't handle to much salt.
Good luck.
