A quick pic of my Lyretail Killi in my tank at work. Will try and get some more shots of the tank later but there is too much reflection from the windows at the moment.

Omg, that's such a gorgeous fish! :wub: I'm getting more and more interested in Killifish, but I don't see them around much, and I also read they are expensive and hard to take care of? But, wow, they sure are beautiful!

I don't seem them often in the UK either. They are so gorgeous though.

Expensive - yes, hard to take care of - no. Most of them are fairly easy to look after as they are normally from water courses that dry up or almost dry up regularly. They don't live very long and can be quite aggressive towards other killis or similar species.

After browsing a couple of fish atlases, I realised there are hundreds of different Killifish species, apparently! Some of them were rated very hard to take care of, but I may have been looking at some of the more rare species.

Oh, and forgot to mention: I nominate your pic for FOTM :)
