Would Any Body Buy This For $300!?

This betta was sold for about $300 yesterday!!!...because of its red eyes!!!...would you buy this betta for that much?...what are the chances of getting your spwan with eyes too?...

That is a little crazy :p I mean besides the eyes, it's not realy that special per se. I don't understand the appeal of red eyes anyway though :p
 
Woah, no I wouldn't buy him. Not when I can have 60 other plakats for the same price. :hyper:
 
Plus, whose to say the red eyes weren't photshopped or some sort of graphics used to put them in? I can see someone getting the fish with no red eyes and the seller being like, 'its because it got stressed in the mail' or something. :sly:
 
Albino bettas are quite rare.. personally I couldn't imagine spending more then $10 on a betta, then again I don't breed them for profit.
 
$300 is ridiculous...$200 is ridiculous...$100 is ridiculous. I might buy that plakat for $30-$40 if I just came into a nice sum of money. The Red eyes are a nice touch though if they're not graphics.
 
hmmm, that is a ridiculous price!! I have a male betta, hes a lavendar/copper halfmoon, he has dark red centers in his eyes, and hes completely blind. I wonder if that fish may be blind.

The person is trying to rip us off..

I used my camera to take a pic of my betta last time and ended the pic has a red eye....

Camera Defects :)
 
They say that fishes with Red Eyes have a better vision at night...The person who was selling this betta seemed to have Positive Feedback though so i don't think that this guy is bogus...
 
Well the person who bought this I propose probably didnt buy it just as a pet, they were probably buying it in hopes that they could breed the Red Eye Gene into one of their lines and hope to make a lot of money off of it and if they do then it would prove to be a sensible buy.
