bad luk mate . nut i always thought you cannot scratch glass the only thing that can is ruby? (im going on advice i saw on chuklevision so y'no) would this mean that there is somme sort of aceylic covering on the tank maybe to stop shattering?

Was glad I read this I use the cleaning magnet and only last week just found a couple of light scratches so obviously it was this that done it 
will use it a few inches away from the sand now. Gutted for you seeing the scratches you have mine are alot smaller. Your tank is looking nice
