I bought 13 Kilo's of what I believe is Red Jasper and have placed the set up in my tank with plenty of sand. This is a work in progress and not completed and the stock in the tank is not the final set up (having a disaster with my other tank and this is a escape tank for the only midly diseased or the fit and healthy).

Thanks alot

Do you think perhaps the rocks should be placed in the middle of the tank and allow the fish to swim around the rocks and inside. I will get some sort of background soon. I also need to do a good algae clean it's pretty bad on the sides and front (no algae eaters in there).

It looks great! And so do the fish.

IMO the rocks look fine where they are, they might look less natural if you put them in the middle.

Updated look with backing and rock rearrangement (just testing to see if it's better or worse).

not sure if it's better or not

I do like the look of that rock and would prob say a background would improve it. Isn't your substrate a bit deep or is it just the way I'm viewing it. Nice job. :good:

yes the substrate is very deep however it is that way because there is 5 kuhlii's 2 yoyo's and 8 cories in the tank. I stir the sand every week while doing water changes.

I'd silicone those rocks if they are where you like them. They might fall one day and crush one of your fishies,. Would be very sad for you and you would be very pi$$ed at yourself for not siliconing them when you could of. If I make any sort of acave or anything I that I think might collapse, for the sake of the fish, I'll silicone it
