I am not sure snails are supposed to reproduce like this.....

The slimmer one is a Cerith Snail and on one riding it's back is an Astrea Snail. Between them and their colleagues they keep the glass reasonably clean and stir up the sand nicely.

I've got 3 of the golden apple snails - they're so pretty :wub: - but yours have really cool shells :cool:
 
I should have mentioned - these are marine snails. There seems to be a bit more choice of beneficial snails for marine tanks.

ah, makes sense! i've never seen any like those cos i only look at freshwater gubbins! :lol:

Those people really love their snails or have way too much time on their hands.
GREAT SITE...lol...lotsa humour...I like snails myself, actually, my interest is more on the invertebrate side of my planted tank...hope to get a marine reef/invertebrate tank soon!
